In the poem titled ‘Lament’, the writer uses techniques like personification, metaphors, and more to express the deep sadness it felt through using perplexing lines and words which effectively match his emotions. The figures of speech are not just the typical shallow sentences and through poetry, the writer made a connection through it because the poem and his expression matched the words -- deep and perplexing. Writing poetry is just like how a painter uses his hands to paint his emotions on a canvas.

Art Blog Post
1. What is your field? Photography.
2. Why are you working in this field?
Taking photos of the details I notice anywhere around me is my hobby.
3. What did go well last year? What didn't go well last year?
My painting board went well, I finished it on time but my art history didn't go well last year.
4. What are you planning to do differently?
I did a change of field which is Photography because I think I'll have more ideas when I choose what I really love doing.
5. What have your two brainstorms revealed so far?
It's a story of a wanderer who notices details to every place she goes. It also represents freedom and enjoying the moment. It also has a touch of nature.
I think it is really important to notice the details in everything because in some ways it gives us hope that no matter how chaotic the world can go, there is always that small detail that can represent hope and optimism.
These two are my own picture and I am looking for more photographers who take photos like this for inspiration and ideas.
6. Why did your teacher get you to make a digital mood board?
She gets us to make a digital mood board so that we can brainstorm our ideas early through inspirations from other artists. It can help us figure out our theme or story for our boards.
7. Identify something that is new to you from completing the mood board - like knowing about a particular artist for instance and making a connection now, to your kaupapa that is forming.
I have found a particular artist who's not familiar to me and he got the idea of my plan for my board through his artworks. His name is Peter Lik but I am still currently looking for more photographers who have a connection to my theme like how Lik's images connect with the idea formed in my mind. Also, I chose Peter Lik because the images he took were the images I would take if I am in the same place where he took his photos. His images were all about earth and nature and that is also part of my plan for my folio.
Here are 3 of Peter Lik's artworks:
1. Coastal Palette
2. Dream Catcher
3. Gilded Forest

Top Strength: Fairness
Questions to help understand my strength better:
* How is your strength of fairness expressed at work, at home, and in the community?
My strength of fairness was expressed to everyone around me by treating all of them fairly with dignity and respect regardless of who they are and what they do.
How did you handle the situation?
There were situations that I acted unfairly and that was a long time ago. Most situations were a misunderstanding between two close friends. I used to handle it recklessly because I was like the bridge between the two of them. My mistake was that once I listened first to the other one, I easily treat the second one unfairly. I easily get prejudiced. Thinking about it today, I considered it my mistake that turned into a lesson as a part of growing up.
Despite the majority's opinion that ''life is not fair'', I still believe that life is fair and I am starting on to myself by treating everyone fairly with dignity and respect. Perhaps for me, I believe that life is fair, as well as everyone, for in the eyes of God we are all fair no matter what we have and who we are. All of us have souls to feed, as well as people to love, a life to live, and lastly, we have our own time that will soon end and that no power in the world can stop it. If this is still not fair, I don't know what is.

Baking - Hospitality
Lamingtons
Preheated the oven to 190 degrees. After that, we measured the sides of the baking paper. Mix the flour and eggs into the bowl and sift it. Mix the butter and boiling water to the side of the bowl. Folded it in with a spatula to combine it.
We poured the mixture into the tin and baked for 20-25 minutes. The oven temperature also needs to be stable and not fluctuating throughout the cooking process. One thing you notice if the bread is cooked is it's perfectly formed and if you look at the cake if it is starting to shrink from the sides it indicates that the cake is cooked. Or you can press the cake lightly with a fingertip, if it feels firm to the touch and springs back the cake is cooked.
Mixing method: To mix it, dip the little cake cubes into the chocolate or any flavor provided and roll them around to blend and coat completely. After that, prepare the coconut to blend lightly.
